How is Sevun Design Ensuring Products Touched, Tried On or Returned by Clients are Safe?

Sevun Design is taking extra measures to ensure the cleanliness of both our products and client owned merchandise by following strict cleaning guidelines after every showing and when taking in merchandise.

For items that can be cleaned, associates are mandated to sanitize their hands before and after handling merchandise. After merchandise has been touched, items will then be cleaned with alcohol wipes, alcohol spray or soap and water.

Some merchandise cannot be cleaned thoroughly and therefore cannot be shown outside its clear bag. To determine length and size, we suggest trying on similar pieces.

How do I place an order on SevunDesign.com?

Ordering on SevunDesign.com is easy and safe. Once you have found the item you would like to purchase, click on the “Add to Cart” button to place it in your Shopping Bag. Follow the directions through the checkout process to complete your order. 

Your order will not be placed until the very end of the checkout process when you will be asked for your credit card information.

Will I be charged sales tax on my SevunDesign.com purchase?

Sevun Design is currently registered to collect sales tax in every state in the U.S. that imposes a sales tax. Sales tax will be automatically applied to your order based on applicable state and local sales tax laws and shipping destination. 

The terms contained herein are subject to change as taxation regulations continue to evolve. Sevun Design continuously monitors state and local tax laws to ensure compliance.

Can I include a personalized gift message with my purchase?

Yes, you will be given the opportunity to create a personalized message at checkout. The message, enclosed in a white envelope, will arrive with your gift package. The package will not have any other additional form identifying you as the giver. For this reason, we encourage you to at least enter your name on the gift message.

Sevun Design invites you to express yourself with a customized gift message to accompany your purchase. Please refrain from using objectionable words, phrases and obscenities in your message. Sevun Design reserves the right to remove any such objectionable words or phrases from your personalized messages.

How do I care for my jewelry?

Gold and Platinum Jewelry

Between professional servicing, most gold and platinum jewelry can be maintained with a non-abrasive cleaner. Examine your jewelry regularly to make sure settings are snug and clasps and joinings are secure.

Avoid exposing gold jewelry to household bleach, which will quickly cause gold to discolor and possibly disintegrate.

Jewelry storage is important as well. At the time of purchase, all  Sevun Design jewelry is wrapped in a protective box, case or tarnish-resistant pouch. Between wearings, we recommend that you place it back in its original case or another suitably lined box or pouch.

 

Gemstone Jewelry

Certain basic precautions should be taken with all of your jewelry. However, some gemstones, as outlined in this section, require special care.

Take care to protect your jewelry from impact against hard surfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. Even a diamond can chip if hit with enough force or at just the right angle. Many stones such as amethyst, emerald, kunzite, opal, pearl, peridot, tanzanite and tourmaline are very delicate and easily abraded. Enamel can also chip or scratch when struck. Gemstones can scratch other gemstones and wear away at precious metals. Therefore, avoid stacking those rings and bracelets that would be vulnerable to such abrasion. Extreme temperatures, perfumes, cosmetics, ultrasonic cleaning and household chemicals can also damage jewelry.

To clean diamonds, use a mild solution of six parts water to one part ammonia and apply with a soft bristle brush.

If worn often, pearls should be cleaned and restrung professionally once a year. Between cleanings, wipe pearls gently with a damp cloth.

How can I get an item repaired?

We repair items made by Sevun Design You may either bring your item to the  Sevun Design  store nearest you or send in your item via mail.

How much does it cost to repair my Sevun Design jewelry?

The cost to repair a Sevun Design product varies and is determined after an assessment is made by one of our repair professionals. Repair pricing varies based on the type of product, material and/or gemstone. When the assessment is complete, we will send you a free estimate. Silver jewelry repairs start at $35. Gold and platinum repairs start at $90.

How often should I get my jewelry cleaned?

We recommend customers bring jewelry in at least once a year. Items worn regularly should be cleaned and checked every few months. This is especially true for engagement rings but applies to all regularly worn pieces.

How should I store and organize my jewelry?

It is important to properly store jewelry when traveling, moving or at home in between uses. Keep jewelry in a storage box away from the elements whenever possible and separated to prevent pieces from becoming tangled or disarranged.

Storing Jewelry at Home

If your jewelry is used frequently, avoid excessive exposure to air and store it in a tarnish-proof cloth, such as the flannel pouch provided with your Sevun Design piece or a storage box. Good storage boxes are lined with tarnish-proof fabric and have a separate space for each individual piece.

Can your Sevun Design jewelry get wet?

While most of your Sevun Design jewelry can get wet with little to no impact, we recommend removing all Sevun Design jewelry before engaging in the following activities:

  • Household and outdoor chores
  • Showering, bathing or swimming in pools, hot tubs, hot springs and the ocean
  • Using lotion, hair products, fragrances and other cosmetics
  • Exercising at the gym or during contact sports
  • Preparing meals
How do I care for my diamonds?

Dust, pollution and daily wear all conspire to cloud the brilliance of a gemstone and dull the surface of platinum and gold. Sevun Design suggests that your ring receive periodic professional maintenance. Our trained staff will check the setting and give your jewelry a thorough cleaning.

Between professional cleanings,  Sevun Design recommends the occasional use of our jewelry cleaning kit or a non-abrasive cleaner for diamond jewelry. Jewelry with stones other than diamonds may need other care.

Fine cultured pearls with thick nacre layers will last for generations if cared for properly. Cultured pearls should be kept free of perfumes, cosmetics, perspiration and dirt. You may gently wipe cultured pearls with a slightly damp cloth.  Sevun Design cultured pearls are strung on pure silk with knots between each cultured pearl. Over time, the silk will stretch, weaken and become soiled. If you wear your cultured pearls regularly, we encourage you to have your cultured pearls cleaned and restrung annually.

How should I clean my diamond ring?

To clean your Sevun Design diamond ring, use the Sevun Design Jewelry Care Kit. Follow the warnings and instructions included. For delicate gemstones, use a soft brush with a solution of mild dish soap and lukewarm water. Rinse well and dry with a clean, soft cloth.

How to polish pearls?

If worn often, pearls should be cleaned and restrung professionally once a year. Between cleanings, wipe pearls gently with a damp cloth.

How to clean gold and platinum jewelry
  1. Place your gold or platinum jewelry into the  Sevun Design  jewelry cleaner solution.
  2. After two minutes, use a pair of tweezers to remove your jewelry from the solution.
  3. Gently clean behind the settings and in between crevices with a soft bristle brush to remove any debris.
  4. Rinse, blot dry and shine your gold or platinum jewelry with a  Sevun Design  polishing cloth.
Does gold tarnish?

Gold does tarnish and scratch over time. To preserve the luster of your gold jewelry, avoid exposure to household bleach and other cleaning products, which will quickly cause gold to discolor and possibly disintegrate. We recommend that you store your gold jewelry in a safe place when engaging in these activities:

  • Performing household and outdoor chores (i.e., cleaning and gardening)
  • Showering, bathing or swimming in pools, hot tubs, hot springs and the ocean
  • Using lotion, hair products, fragrances and other cosmetics
  • Exercising at the gym or during contact sports
  • Preparing meals


When not being worn, we recommend that you place your gold jewelry back in its  Sevun Design  Blue® flannel pouch for safekeeping.

How to remove scratches from gold and platinum

Only polishing will remove scratches from gold and platinum. However, the patina of fine scratches that develops over time can add beauty to the jewelry and can reflect the journey a piece has taken. The polishing process removes metal and is only recommended to be carried out a few times over the life of the piece.

Shipping & Returns FAQ

What shipping options are available on SevunDesign.com?

We have taken precautions in our warehouses in line with local health authority and government guidelines to protect our clients and employees. As a result, you may experience delays in the processing and shipping of your order. Currently, next day delivery and express shipping are not available. Please note, at this time product availability may be limited.

Currently we are only able to accept online orders to shipping addresses within the United States, and do not ship internationally. To ensure the secure delivery of your order, Sevun Design does not ship orders to post office boxes. Sevun Design is able to accept post office box addresses for your billing needs.

How can I make returns or exchanges?

Articles are accepted for credit or exchange in the U.S. if returned in saleable condition within 30 days, accompanied by a sales receipt. Some exclusions may apply. Fragrance must be returned in its original packaging (including wafer seal stickers) and in salable condition. Please note that items that are personalized with engraving, etching, embossing and other services may not be returned or exchanged.

A refund will be made to the purchaser upon request if payment has been received. Gift recipients are entitled to a nonrefundable merchandise credit. Cash refunds are not available for returns made at retail locations. To return or exchange your gift selection, please follow the instructions included with your package.

Can I track my online order?

A shipping notification with tracking details will be sent via email after your order has shipped. You will receive multiple email acknowledgements if your order results in more than one shipment.

Please allow 4-5 business days for  Sevun Design items to be shipped. Items ordered together may not always ship together.

Are Sevun Design products insured when shipped?

Sevun Design is responsible for orders until the package is delivered to the customer.  If the package goes missing,  Sevun Design may choose to open an investigation with the carrier to determine the responsible party. Please contact Client Care if your order details indicate the package has been delivered but nothing was received.
